I'm back from vacation

It was absoulutely wonderful!!! It was supposed to rain and be cloudy the whole time, but I told my dear hubby it would not, sunshine was ordered, and delivered. I ate real mexican food (yummy) rode on a catamaran (party boat) went snorkeling and went to a beach party, it was loads of fun. I came back with a small sunburn, but it was worth it. I drank a margarita for each of you

Christmas Gifts

This year for Christmas I want to make all my gifts and have asked my family and friends to make anything they want to give to me. Not only is it the birth of our Lord, but it is also a time to give of yourself, like God gave us his Son. It's wonderful to make someone you love happy by giving them a gift that you've picked out for them, and they you know they wanted, but this year I wanted to go a little further. Not only is the economy tight, but I want to put more of myself into my gifts this year. I'll be sharing every Wendesday the gifts I've done for the week, so this week it's my husbands gift.

He is making his own wine in our basement and I'm going to fix him up a shelf area where he has all his wine making supplies. This is a light I'm going to give him to decorate that area.

New Moon starts today

As this is posting, I'm napping, I want to the first showing of "new moon" last night with my daughter, those of you that are twilight fans know what I'm talking about. I've made a page and some files, but since I've been packing and getting ready to go on vacation, I'll have to post it after we get back from our cruise. Since I'll be leaving this afternoon I'll still have posts magically appear on Monday and Wednesday, however, there is no way to get the free file to magically appear, so if I have time I'll try to post one for you either Friday or Saturday of next week. I took a picture of the page I did, files will be in the store after I get back.

Sketch Contest

Here is another contest I want to do. I love sketches of scrapbook pages, but don't see too many with 2 page layouts. I tend to do 2 pages of an event so the 2 pages match, using same papers, elements ect. I have a layout done with this sketch, my challenge to you is to make your own layout following the sketch, the elements can be poems, paper piecings, 3d elements, anything you'd use to connect to the pictures you use. Have fun, and send me a scan of your finished layouts, I'll have my husband and son pick out which they like best and you'll get $20.00 worth of whatever files you want to pick out. 2nd place gets $10.00 worth of files, also let me know if you'd be interested in being on my design team. Cruise

My husband and I are finally getting some away time with each other, both of us have had our away times, but seperately and with two grown children living at home, alone time is few and far between. My husband booked a cruise for us on Thanksgiving week, we are going to Mexico, I love cruises, in honor of that, here is a new file I've uploaded in my store. I did cut the title out of grungeboard and inked it, you can see the close up pattern.

Here is a card I made a long time ago, just dug it up and decided to change the font, it was very skinny and hard to work with, This cards still has the original font. Reduced CD's, lowering inventory

I have a lot of CD's here that I burned for my ebay sales, and I am going to retire some of my files, so I decided to sell them at 1/2 off, none of these files include SVG format, but they do include AI, WPC, GSD and KNK files, the first set I'm going to sell is called wedding words, I have 3 sets of these, set 1 is before the wedding, set 2 is during the wedding, and set 3 is after the wedding, if you ever need to do a wedding album, these are perfect for the whole thing, most are words, but there are some that have graphics in with the words, below is a sample of the wedding words volume 2, each collection has between 70 and 88 images, they normally sell for $20 each, but I'm selling them now for $10.00 plus free shipping, I only have 5 of each CD and when they are gone, I'm not burning anymore. Here is a silhouette page I made using one of my Children Playing Silhouttes Children Playing Silhouettes. I used paper from PaperTemptress called Black Velvet, I love the way this turned out. I'm saving this for a Christmas Present, not sure who will get it yet, but I had fun making it. Let me know what you think.

Free File

I'm going to give a way a free file every week again, like I did before, only this time you won't know what day of the week it is, and it won't last more than a day, if you miss the file I'll try to have it at paperthreads, or you can e-mail me to purchase it. Here is a card I made with the free file for next week, I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and they had a sale on cricut stuff so I got this fluer de lis folder, we are a scouting family and always have to send thank you's or Cards for Eagle Banquets, this embossing folder and file is wonderful for that, but it's also very masculine, you can use it for birthday, sympathy, etc. for the male in your life.

Fairies File

This is a page I did for a friends Prom Party, I cut out the fairies from Mica/Metallic you can get from PaperTemptress, I used opal, it turned out better than I expected, the fairies collection will be available at Paper Threads for purchase in all 5 formats soon. New Files

I feel like it's been so long since I've made any new files, and here they are as promised. You'll see a link to the side to a free file of a maple leaf which is shown in this 8"x8" Scrapbook page. I'm in love with the Mica/Metallics available at Paper Temptress, in this layout I used Cappuchino, Copper and White gold. Even in small intricate detailed files they cut like butter.



Here is a layout I did using the outhouse pumpkins and title from the Fall in the Country Collection now available at Paperthreads, you'll also get a oak fall leaf and several more titles and mats.
