March Sketch

I'm doing the sketch contest at Papertheads this month, we'll see how it goes, but I will go ahead and post a sketch every month, I can do that much at least. So anyway, here is the sketch and the layout I did from the sketch for this month, I'm a little behind on my books, so I'm submitting a Halloween page for your approval.

Here is the Sketch, click on the picture to see it larger

Here is my interpretation of the sketch

I used the title from Spooky Halloween, the spider webs are ribbon and around the pictures are ribbon, I used candy corn brads, and inked all my paper edges with dark brown ink.

Sketch Challenge on Paperthreads

I'm very excited to host a scrapbook sketch challenge over on Paperthreads. I love working from sketch because if your stuck or at a block then you have a starting point with the sketch. I decided to use Chinese New year as the theme for my page that I made from the sketch. Here is my page, and go on over to Paperthreads to see the challenge and if you want to sign up for it. Oh and plus if you sign up you get a free Happy New years file from me, and if win you get all the files I made this page with.

P.S. I had to delete this blog and redo it because I had a inapprpriate comment posted, Elizabeth your comment was deleted also because I had to in order to delete the other one, no problems with yours, I'm approving all comments now before they post.

How is your sketch layout coming, as of the time I left I had one entry, I'm hoping I have more by now, the contest details are below at the Titled Blog Sketch Contest. Here is my take on the sketch I made, I'll have the files ready when I get back from my vacation, hopefully right now I'm sitting on a Sunny Deck with a Margaritta in my hands, yummm.

Sketch Contest

Here is another contest I want to do. I love sketches of scrapbook pages, but don't see too many with 2 page layouts. I tend to do 2 pages of an event so the 2 pages match, using same papers, elements ect. I have a layout done with this sketch, my challenge to you is to make your own layout following the sketch, the elements can be poems, paper piecings, 3d elements, anything you'd use to connect to the pictures you use. Have fun, and send me a scan of your finished layouts, I'll have my husband and son pick out which they like best and you'll get $20.00 worth of whatever files you want to pick out. 2nd place gets $10.00 worth of files, also let me know if you'd be interested in being on my design team. Contest Deadline is 12-5-2009
