Paper Temptress Birthday

As I was working on my scrapbook pages, some of them are fall layouts, I came up with some cut files for pumpkins, leaves, some sayings and an outhouse. I cut the pumpkins out of Paper from www.papertemptress.com using flame mica metallic and Emerald mica metallic, it's hard to see on the card, but it does have the best sheen. This card is in honor of Papertemptress's 1 year birthday. Be sure and check back on Monday for a surprise, I'll give you a hint, it's a free file, good for that day only, if you check back on Tuesday, your too late. I'll have a sample made with PaperTemptress papers with the file.

I took a lot of pictures of Zachary playing with his ball in the yard, I hated not to use them all so I put a row of them along the bottom.

Stamping in my Scrapbook

I've been working on making cutting files and finishing up on my journaling, here is one that didn't need a title or journaling, isn't he cute. I used the pumpkin and leaf stamps from Stampin Up
thanks to my good friend Elaine and cut them out and then added them to my scrapbook page, I'm trying to use stamps more in my scrapbook pages. Elaine has a lot of cool ideas on her blog too,

PaperTemptress's 1 Year Anniversary

PaperTemptress is celebrating her 1st year anniversay! A whole year already! To celebrate there is going to be a Treasure Hunt starting on Saturday the 24th, the actual day PaperTemptress originally opened!! Things are going to be a little different since PaperTemptress's design team members generally post on PT"s Community Blog but for the Treasure Hunt they will be at the design team members blogs so you can spend a little time looking around their creative blogs!! There are some amazing new design team member (names you are definitely going to recognize) so the hunt is going to start with them so you can get to know them a little better. There may be more than one blog to visit daily but there will only be one letter each day so be sure to keep tract of the letters you need to come up with the word so that you enter the treasure hunt giveaway. This is where it gets really good!! For every 25 entries there will be a variety package of the winner’s choice given away so be sure to spread the word so that your chances to win increase!! The more that enter the more packages given away so be sure to tell everyone! If only 25 enter then only 1 package will be given away but if over 30 enter then there will be 2 lucky winners, now if 75 enter then 3 winners and on and on. All you have to do is visit here, (or your email)check for the link or links to the blog that is being featured that day, visit the blog or blogs, write down the letter every day and when the treasure hunt is over then you will Email the PaperTemptress and leave the word that you found during the treasure hunt to enter the fabulous giveaway! Croptoberfest

Wow, it's over already, I look forward to those 4 days all year long, and they go so fast. I don't know if it's because there is no cell phone service in the mountains, or if it's just the getting away, or if it's the ladies I usually only see once a year, but it's the best scrapbook weekend in the year. We laugh together, cry together, pick on each other, share ideas and supplies, it's just so wonderful. We always play the left, right game, and this year I ended up with a pretty 6x6 paper pack, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, and ended up making 24 thank you cards, I made 4 of each design. Below are the 6 I made, they are simple but it used up that paper pack I won, I haven't finished unpacking from the crop yet, but I will post more probably thursday.

Going out of town

I know haven't been very good posting on my blog lately, but I'm going to try to do better, things have been very busy, I went to a crop last weekend in Mayfield KY, and this weekend, starting tomorrow, I'm going to Croptoberfest, in the mountains, I plan to get a lot of work done (judging by the stuff I'm taking) LOL, I'll let you know how I do when I get back and maybe post some of my layouts.

QUESTION..I noticed an awesome spinner album image in your sidebar but the link didn't work. Is this something you sell?

DIANA..I have about 5 kits left, I made the spinner with double sided paper and chipboard, (not included in the kit) you'll get the bare wood with a lazy susan attached so it spins, ball for the top, o-wire to connect the paper with your bind-it-all, and instructions on how to assemble it all I used 5" x 5 1/4" size for the album, but you can make it a little bigger if you want. $20.00 includes shipping and I can send you a paypal request if you wish to purchase one.
